Purpose:

In-Depth Arts's Artist of Depth Competition - August 2001 - Theme: "Infinite Visions"

Contest directive: "It has often be said that the universe can be seen reflected in a single drop of water. Native Americans often go on vision quests seeking understanding from the universe around them. This is your vision quest, to show us your interpretation of the infinite."

Software Used: Amapi 3D 4.1, Poser 3, Bryce 3D, Photoshop 6.0
Comments:

I didn't turn in any comments for the contest because the symbolism should have been pretty obvious -- infinite tunnel, foggy future, golden halo, trinity, bright light, white birds, and an unintentional speck on the wall which distracts us from seeing the whole composition as intended, the same way the nearer bird distracts the woman from looking at eternity.

This image won first place!!! The prize was Right Hemisphere's famous texturing software, Deep Paint 3D. Ecstatic is an understatement.
