I began with the manuscript written by Sapphire Williams,
and I got to know Jenna Blake and Logan Mackenzie...
and how they met:

This is my very first sketch of Jenna and Logan, illustrating their first meeting.
I imagined him in an imposing "What are you doing in my keep" pose.
I imagined her in a startled or stunned (but not scared!) pose.
I wasn't happy with it, though; I didn't trust myself.

What I didn't trust about myself was my ability to draw the human body.
I was almost certain I had the body proportions completely wrong.
So I grabbed some images off the web and made a Poser render.
I composited them and traced over the composite.

Then I thought to myself,
"You know? I'd really like to see Jenna's face."

So I scrapped the whole concept and started anew.
